The Antigua region is one of the most ideal coffee growing areas of the world. Beans are grown at high elevation between 5000 and 5500 feet where rich volcanic soil and plenty of rainfall make for a perfect environment for the coffee plant to grow. This is one of the most balanced coffees around. Smoother than the Costa Rican bean, Guatemala Antigua offers a medium body, smoky aroma, and nice floral aftertaste. Very consistent!
We use only 100% fine Arabica beans that are hand-selected, sun-dried, and then roasted in small batches using the European method of slow roasting. The beans are then air-cooled and packaged while still warm in patented valve bags to ensure the ultimate in freshness. We proudly offer coffees that are certified organic, fair trade, and are rainforest-, bird-, and environment-friendly.
